In the case of Dark Souls, fans are still arguing over what any of it means nine years later. As in, when you finish the game, you basically understand what happened. I just what to know if it's all made clear eventually. It's fine and normal for a story to reveal the plot piecemeal overtime. I'm not saying that I need everything explained to me at the beginning. At the beginning of the game, the Mother is overwhelmed by the forces of Suffering, forcing. Unfortunately, it’s also yet another victim of the industry’s obsession with giving players content over having the confidence to allow what should be a fairly short. It boasts a strong concept, an incredible aesthetic, and some excellent moment-to-moment gameplay. The game puts players in control of the Mother, a powerful being who positions herself against Suffering, another being that reflects the darkness of the world to make monsters to destroy it. There is a lot to admire about Othercide. If I even understand who I'm playing or what I'm doing, then my investment in the game disappears. Othercide is a horror-themed tactics game from Lightbulb Crew. First of all, I have checked to make sure that my language is set to English. ESRB: Mature Violence, Blood, Partial Nudity, Strong Language. Fighting and slaying a giant monster can be fun, but it's much more engaging if I understand who I'm playing as, what I'm doing here, why I am fighting this giant monster, and what's at stake if I lose. Othercide is a horror themed tactical turn-based game set in an esoteric world beyond our reality. One of the reasons that I don't like Dark Souls, or most Soulslike games, is that the plot is never made clear. The sort of game that asks you to be invested even though you only have a vague hint of what's going on. It made me suspect that Othercide is the sort of game where the plot is obtuse, hidden from the player, or not explained. There was a lot of speech, characters going on about veils and suffering, and I didn't understand what anyone was on about. I watched a dude on YouTube play through the first half hour or so, which is basically the tutorial and intro. Does the game have a clear plot, or clear lore? I'm interested in purchasing Othercide, but I have one question regarding the game that might make or break my decision to buy it.
